Candidate Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 Oct 2026

These terms apply when you use datachef.new to look at our open roles and apply for one. Please read them before you submit an application.

Who these terms are with

datachef.new is operated by DataChef B.V., registered in the Netherlands under KvK number 71796371, at Prinses Margrietplantsoen 33, 2595 AM, The Hague, Netherlands. In these terms, "we" and "DataChef" mean DataChef B.V., and "you" means the person applying for a role.

What this platform is for

This site exists so you can see our open roles, apply to them, and move through our hiring process — including any technical assessment and interviews we invite you to. It is not an offer of employment, and using it does not create an employment relationship between us.

What you agree to when you apply

  • The information you give us — your name, contact details, location, LinkedIn profile, resume, and anything else you submit — is accurate and genuinely about you.
  • You are applying on your own behalf, and you have the right to share everything you upload with us.
  • You will not submit content that infringes someone else's rights, contains malware, or includes confidential information belonging to a current or former employer.
  • You are at least 16 years old.

Technical assessments

Some roles include a coding challenge or technical assessment, which we may run through a third-party assessment provider. Where an assessment is part of the process, you agree to complete it yourself, without help from another person or from an undisclosed tool, unless we tell you otherwise in the instructions for that assessment.

Some assessments ask you to record video while you work — your webcam, your screen, or both — through the assessment provider's tools. Where that is part of an assessment, we tell you before you start it. We use the recording only to confirm that the work is your own and that the assessment was completed as described above, we review it as part of your application, and we handle it as set out in our Privacy Notice for Candidates.

If you would rather not be recorded, tell us before you start and we will let you know whether there is another way to complete the assessment for that role.

Assessment content is our confidential material or our provider's. Please do not copy, publish, or share it. The same applies the other way around: please do not publish or share your recording of an assessment either.

Your resume and other submissions

You keep ownership of everything you send us. You give us permission to store, read, and share your submission internally for the purpose of assessing your application and, where relevant, considering you for other roles with us. We explain how we handle that data in our Privacy Notice for Candidates.

How we run the hiring process

We decide who to progress and who to hire. We may close a role, change its requirements, or end a hiring process at any point, and we are not obliged to explain a decision. We aim to tell you where you stand either way.

We may decline or withdraw an application if the information you gave us turns out to be inaccurate, if an assessment was not completed as described above, or if the role is not open to candidates in your location.

Availability of the site

We do our best to keep the site working, but we provide it as it is. We are not liable for losses arising from the site being unavailable or from an application that does not reach us for technical reasons. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here when you submit an application is the one that applies to that application, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.

Governing law and contact

Dutch law applies to these terms, and the courts of The Hague have jurisdiction over any dispute. Questions about these terms can go to [email protected].
