What you'll do
- As a Data Product Manager in our client-facing teams, you are the owner of a key piece of information: why we do what we do. You never lose contact with the business goal we are enabling and the end-users who will benefit from our work.
- You shield the team from shifting priorities and organizational noise, providing clear direction and focus on what matters most, while staying alert to opportunities that could deliver even greater impact.
- While the team focuses on today's priorities, you work with the engineering lead to shape the most important work for the upcoming cycle, ensuring the team is ready to pick up the implementation when the time comes.
- You discover and design data products that make an impact, from the inception to the operating model.
- Every consultant should ABC (Always Be Communicating), but it's specifically your responsibility to organize the way we communicate our success.
- As an expert in Data Product Management, you also elevate the knowledge of people around you by introducing and promoting data-as-a-product mindset.
- Together with a few other chefs, you’ll help our clients to build and productionize products. As an autonomous stream-aligned team, you might deal with a wide spectrum of Data, Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps-related problems.
- Your default will be delivering a timely and tangible output. Simple, interpretable, impactful, and straightforward workflows are your main weapons. That however doesn’t hinder you from using complex tools when the situation demands it.
- You’ll help with interviewing and selecting future chefs. We’ll train you on how to conduct effective, chef-style interviews!
- Actively share knowledge with your team and learn from their expertise in return.

- ✏️ Content developer: if you enjoy writing and sharing what we learned.

What you'll bring
- Extensive experience working in close contact with software engineers and enabling them to deliver value. Note that we're not hiring an "agile coach" and we don't care about Scrum ceremonies and story points.
- Experience leading multiple data and AI-related initiatives, with a solid understanding of cross-cutting concepts and common pitfalls.
- A sharp product intuition, a deep focus on customer needs, and unlimited curiosity to ask questions and uncover patterns.
- Desire to get your hands dirty with the data. That also means at least basic command of SQL and Python.
- At least 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Motivated by client problems, and find joy in creating simple, elegant solutions that avoid unnecessary complexity.
- Moving off any solution before asking questions, listening actively, exploring the context, and simply building trust with clients.
- Always putting usefulness and adaptability above solving imaginary scaling issues.
- Passion for simplifying and clearly explaining complex topics in person and in writing.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Excellent presentation skills. Your slides feature clear information architecture, clean design, and a wow factor. You're also comfortable presenting without slides.
- Knowledge of the core principles of frameworks such as Domain-Driven Design, Data Mesh, Wardley Mapping, and Team Topologies.
- Knowledge of the Shape Up methodology for product development.
- Adoption of AI tools for fast prototyping.
